Compressor.io for Associations

Do you ever post images to your website? If so, make sure to check out Compressor.io.
It’s a website I use almost on a daily basis and if your association has any sort of web presence, I’m sure you’ll benefit from it too (it’s free). In fact, I used it on the banner image for this blog post.
Compressor.io. is a free online application that will compress any image you upload to it without losing the original quality. They support JPEG, PNG, GIF, and SVG file formats.
Upload as many images as you like and then download them to your computer in the compressed form. We’re talking about a significant reduction in the size of the image. Often as much as 90% of the original file size.
Why is this important?
Well, your website visitors like great imagery (check out Stock Photos for Associations) and these days most modern websites are designed to be very image heavy. Google continues to use loading speed as an important indicator for ranking your website in it’s search results. So, use Google’s PageSpeed Insights tool see if any of your webpages are loading slowly and then add get started by uploading your images to Compressor.io.
